Pirate Tickets for lucky Donors!

The Woodland Hills Foundation would like to give you and a guest tickets to an upcoming Pittsburgh Pirate baseball game!  Through a generous donation, the Woodland Hills Foundation is pleased to be able to reward donors with tickets to enjoy an upcoming Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game from the comfort of a luxury box at PNC Park.  All you need to do is make an online donation (minimum $10) to the Foundation between Wednesday, March 26 and Wednesday, April 16th.  Names will be drawn randomly from among all donors.  Winners will be notified on dates noted below.  Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@WHFoundationPGH) to find out who the lucky winners are!

Wednesday, April 23 at 7:05 pm against the Reds

(Drawing @ 4 pm on Monday, April 14)

 

Thursday, April 24 at 12:35 pm against the Reds (afternoon game)

(Drawing @ 4 pm on Tuesday, April 15)

 

Friday, May 2 at 7:05 pm against the Toronto Blue Jays (Free Shirt Friday)

How to Donate:

Donations must be made online in order for them to be considered.  Online donations can be made by clicking on the yellow ‘Donate’ button located on the right hand side of our webpage.  Please include your full name, email address and address when making your donation.

 

Guidelines:

  • 12 Donors will be selected at random. Winners will be notified via email and posted on Facebook and Twitter.
  • 2 tickets will be given to each selected donor.
  • Tickets must be picked up by 5 pm on Friday, April 18th at:
    Allegheny Chesapeake Physical Therapy
    Edgewood Towne Center Office Building
    1789 S. Braddock Ave., next to PNC Bank
  • Tickets include admission to the game and the luxury suite only.  Patrons are responsible for their own food and beverage costs.

Student Scholarships

Each year the Woodland Hills Foundation is proud to offer scholarships to graduating seniors from Woodland Hills High School.  This year, the Foundation is proud to offer 4 returning scholarships and 4 NEW! scholarship options.  Applications can be found at the High School Guidance Office, or downloaded from this site, and be submitted one of two ways:

The Woodland Hills Foundation Senior Scholarship

Awarded to one or two graduating seniors who will continue their education in a community college, vocational, technical, or (non 4-year) educational program that awards a diploma, certificate, or Associate Degree upon completion (e.g. nursing, computer, technical, business, culinary, trade schools, community or junior colleges).

The Julia Anne McCool Memorial Scholarship for the Arts & Humanities

Awarded to a senior who will graduate in 2014 from Woodland Hills High School and who will continue their education in music, art, performance, liberal arts, or the humanities.  Preference will be given to those continuing their education in music or art.

Awarded to a graduating senior who will graduate in 2014 from Woodland Hills High School and continue their education in an educational program for health care professions that has a diploma, certificate, Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree upon completion.

Awarded to a senior who will graduate in 2014 from Woodland Hills High School and who will continue their education in a 4-year educational program for health care professions that grants a Bachelor’s degree or higher upon completion.

NEW!  The Barrie and Arleen Bartulski Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Awarded to a graduating senior from Turtle Creek, PA who holds the highest Grade Point Average.  This scholarship is offered each year until 2017.

GUIDELINES for all Foundation Scholarships:
  • WHF reserves the right to change the number and/or amount of the awards, as well as to not award a scholarship if the applicants do not meet the criteria or expectations of our selection committee.
  • Financial need is not a consideration.
  • Children of WHF Board of Directors are not eligible for awards.
  • The scholarships will be presented at the 2014 Senior Academic Awards Dinner.
  • Applications become the property of WHF and may be used to promote the mission of WHF and the Woodland Hills School District. Photos of winners may be used in local and/or school district publications and websites.
  • The scholarship recipient must present proof of acceptance to a post-high school program before payment can be made.  The awards will be paid directly to the student’s chosen school.
  • Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, room and board, and other fees.
